Our greatest desire at The Movement Church is to use as many of the resources that come through our community of faith to change the lives of people throughout Tulsa, and Bixby Oklahoma, the surrounding communities, the nation, and around the world. Here are our four biggest needs!

1. We need your prayers.

Pray for our leadership, pray for the community, pray for the launch and pray for the people who are going to connect to the Movement.

2. We need you to give financially to the Movement.

We invite individuals, churches, and organizations to pray about partnering with us as supporters, and we want you to understand the values that make The Movement Church a worthy cause.

3. We need people for the Launch Team.

Many of you have experience, skills, gifts, and time that you would love to use for God. This is the perfect time for you to donate your time and your skills to help us make our vision a reality. If you can help us for a few hours on just one day a week or would like to donate your skills regularly, we want to partner with you to build The Movement Church into a world changing community of faith.

We are currently looking for people who are talented musicians and people who are gifted with children.

4. We need a Meeting Space in exchange for a donation to our phenomenal cause

We would like for a theater, school, or other facility to donate the space we will use for our Vision Meetings, Pre-Launch Services and Launch Team development

Over the weeks and months ahead we are going to be searching throughout Bixby, South County Tulsa and Tulsa Metro Oklahoma area for men, women, children, and families that connect with our vision for the MOVEMENT Church. Don’t worry if you don’t have any previous church experience, which is not really what we are looking for! Whatever station of life you find yourself, we want you to join our movement.

We need friendly people, graphic artists, rappers, rockers, financial planners, dreamers, people that are good with children and teenagers, web designers, all types of musicians, office managers, lighting and sound technicians, film editors, humans, actors and actresses, DJ’s, painters, singers and vocalists, sculptors, poets, writers, service planners, set designers, camera operators, licensed truck drivers, police officers, security workers, and more! If you don’t fit any of these categories, we are also looking for angry, bitter, sad, lonely, frustrated, and depressed people that want to change!

Between now and the time we launch in 2013 we will be hosting regular gatherings in our homes, doing random acts of kindness, holding interest meetings throughout the city, and having community outreaches this year that will help us grow our team and show our love to people of  Bixby and the greater Tulsa area.

The MOVEMENT Church is currently building up a launch team of men, women, and children who are willing to dream dreams so ridiculously big that if God weren’t in it they wouldn’t come true! We believe that a few people can bring about a real, earth-shattering movement in the world! We believe that thousands of people who are distant and disconnected from the church will come to live adventurous Christian lives! We believe that real diversity makes us stronger! We believe that the bold, compassionate, revolutionary Jesus of the Gospels is more relevant today than ever before! We believe that South County Tulsa is going to birth a movement of courageous Christians that set a new standard for what it means to be a follower of Jesus!

Although our church is not officially launching until 2013 – we are developing a launch team today of people that want to be a part of building The MOVEMENT Church from the ground up. Your gifts, your input, your skills, and your social networks will be utilized as a part of something that is bigger than yourself that will bring depth and excitement to your life.

For some time now, Stacey and I have known we were called to something far greater than ourselves. As we have continued to seek the heart of our Father we began to see that His call on our life was to pastor a church. As we now see this dream becoming reality, we are filled with excitement and anticipation to begin this God-inspired journey. This is not going to be an easy step to take but we are confident that we are doing what God has called us to do and we are excited to see God fulfill His purpose through us.

For the past six and a half years, we have been a part of Turning Point Church in McDonough, GA. During this time, God has developed in us a huge heart and passion for the local church. We are confident that serving at Turning Point has prepared and equipped us for this time in our life. We feel this has been one of our greatest experiences – one in which we have grown in so many ways.

Stacey and I have had the privilege of working at Turning Point for three and a half years and have learned so much. Our responsibilities during this time have given us some great opportunities to disciple new believers, grow leaders and communicate God’s truth in a relevant and life-giving way. We feel this experience has taught us what true leadership is and how to effectively lead and inspire others. We have had the opportunity to learn first hand the tools that are needed to effectively plant a successful church. Turning Point has been a place where we have truly seen how a church can change the culture of a community by reaching out to those who are hurting, lost and in need. This has inspired Stacey and I to do the same in the Bixby and South County Tulsa, Oklahoma area.
